Qualifying invoice

 

Process Steps

Step 1 Obtain gate pass at the port of entry.

Step 2

Complete a simplified declaration (Form E) used to declare goods imported by individuals not intended for commercial use or sale.

Step 3

An invoice should be attached to the completed form.

Step 4

If the importer intends to pay through Sekulula VAT Easy the qualifying invoice should be submitted and the importer will complete the VAT refund form. 

Step 5 A Combined baggage declaration may be used by persons travelling together in a public transport to make a single declaration. However, an individual is free to proceed directly to customs to make a declaration for some reasons e.g. intention to pay through Sekulula VAT Easy.
Step 6 Make payment (if there is any tax due).
